About Camp Bimini

Our Story

Camp Bimini provides an enjoyable overnight Christian camping experience in July and August for kids from age 5 to 14 years old. Camp Bimini is also available for rental to groups, organizations, schools and churches in the late winter, spring and fall. We are located just outside of Stratford, Ontario.

Camp Bimini is located seven kilometres southeast of Stratford, Ontario. Established in 1947, Camp Bimini is under the supervision of the Western Ontario Waterways Region of the United Church of Canada. Camp Bimini is an accredited member of the Ontario Camps Association and is an accredited United Church of Canada camp. We are proud of the standards in health, safety and programs set by these.

Situated on 15 acres of land located on Perth Road 113 (also known as the Embro Road), Camp Bimini is home to many tree varieties (cherry, hemlock, maple, beech, birch and more). Blue jays, chipmunks, deer, carp, raccoons, crayfish, squirrels and butterflies are just some of the creatures found at Camp Bimini. A winding Trout Creek makes its way through Camp Bimini and provides a habitat for many. Take a tour of camp.

Camp Bimini was named after the islands in the Bahamas called the Bimini Islands. It was believed that located on these islands, was the legendary fountain of youth where when you drank the nourishment from this fountain, you were forever young. When you visit Camp Bimini and drink in its nourishment—its friendships and goodness—you do leave forever young.

During the months of July and August, our summer camp program invites campers of all ages to gather together to dream, discover and to be forever young. Please see our Summer Camp or The Camp Bimini Experience page for more details.

The rest of the year, our facilities are available for rent to groups, churches, organizations and school groups. Please see our Rentals & School Groups page for more details.

Camp Bimini’s Land Acknowledgement

For thousands of years, indigenous peoples have walked on this land. Their relationship with the land is at the centre of their lives.

With respect and gratitude, we acknowledge the Anishinabewaki, Attiwonderonk and Mississauga Peoples and their stewardship of this land. Through Treaty 29 of 1827(also called the Huron Tract purchase), it was ceded to early settlers.

May we all live, work and play on this land in peace and friendship and may we continue to work toward understanding and respect.
