Camp Bimini

Summer Camp

Our dates and rates for 2021 are posted below!

Registration will open March 29, 2021 at 6 pm Eastern.

Summer is coming! Along with everyone else, we too are pivoting for 2021. We will be offering a day camp model of Camp Bimini! We are looking forward to our adventure!

Currently, overnight camps are not permitted to open or operate in the province of Ontario due to COVID-19 (an order that has been in place since spring 2020).    Day camps, however, ARE permitted to open and operate at this point. We fully recognize the need for camp to happen in-person and the desire for camp to happen in-person. So, we are ready to try something new!

We are still finding out and sorting out all the details about how our summer will operate.  We will be working with Public Health officials and the Ontario Camps Association to make Camp Bimini safe for all campers, staff and volunteers. We will adhere to and follow all public health guidelines and requirements.  Our plans can change quickly due to the ever-changing demands of the pandemic.

Some information for families as of March 28, 2021:

  1. Our summer program will be organized similar to other summers, according to age ranges with less campers per week (currently 40 per week). We will be operating with cohorts spread around camp.  A waitlist will be available for cancellations or, if possible, increases to cohort sizes.
  2. Campers will be required to bring their own lunches Monday to Thursday. Morning and afternoon snacks and Friday lunches will be provided by Camp Bimini.  A complete packing list will be provided closer to summer.
  3. Drop-off will be from 8:15 to 8:45 am with pick-up from 4:15 to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Day camp registration will open Monday, March 29, 2021 at 6 pm Eastern. The number of campers will be reduced for each week.  We will email and post more details as they become available.  Our plan is to incorporate most of the experiences of overnight camp into day camp as best we can while adhering to mandatory and recommended guidelines and standards.  We will not be operating an overnight experience in summer 2021.  At this point, we will not be operating a family camp, Leadership camp or Ujima in summer 2021.

We thank you for your patience, understanding and support as we pivot again in 2021 to keep campers, staff and volunteers as safe and healthy as possible.  2021 will be a challenging year for Camp Bimini again physically, spiritually and financially.  With your continued assistance, we will work to live out our mission statement where we “strive to be welcoming and inclusive of each individual and provide a safe and nurturing place”.

If you have any questions regarding the registration process, please contact us.

Payment will be accepted via e-Transfer, VISA, MasterCard or by cheque (no post-dated cheques will be accepted, cheques are due within 10 days of registration). Thank you.

(all camps are co-ed)

If a camp week indicates full, a wait list is available.  Please note the chart is not updated automatically as campers are registered but as of the date at the top of the chart.  Please register for the wait list and we will contact you if and when a spot becomes available.  We cannot predict movement on the wait list.

(all rates are CAD and include applicable taxes)

At Camp Bimini we want everyone to be able to take part in our summer camp program.  Our prices are subsidized to allow all families to afford summer camp.  This is why ‘church camp’ prices have historically been much lower than private camp, even when we offer the same or higher level of supervision and activities.  Realizing that families have different abilities to pay, Camp Bimini offers a voluntary three-tier payment program.

Every family can choose the level of payment that is right for their situation.  Tier A is the traditionally subsidized rate, Tier C is the rate that is closer to the full cost of camp, while Tier B is the mid-point.  We recognize that Tier A is still difficult for some families to cover, and The Gift of Camp will continue to be available for families that require assistance.

It goes without saying that every child will receive the same level of care and attention you expect when sending your child to Bimini, regardless of which tier of pricing your families chooses.  If your family chooses Tier B or C, you will be helping Bimini to upgrade the facilities and prepare for future generations of camping.  This program is voluntary and in no way influences the experience children receive, yet it offers the opportunity for families to take an active role in supporting the true cost of their child’s camp experience.  Only the registrar and coordinator know the tier that you have selected and that information is used only for billing purposes.
